G-306 Blue Horizons

The complex is very well maintained and the people helpful and friendly. The apartment was clean and well stocked. We used beach chairs and boogie boards that were there for our kids. Great access to the beach, and very close. We had a wonderful time!

Overall it was nice. Love the location! Easy check in experience. However, all of the plugs are so old they don’t hold anything you plug in without propping up the plug. There is no air conditioning so it gets hot in the room. The dishwasher leaks so we couldn’t run it. The fans provided were old and gross and dusty. One was broken. The water in both showers changes from hot to cold during your entire shower. I would love to stay int the same location next trip, but a different condo.

G306 Blue Horizons was a great condo and met our family's needs well!! Beds were comfortable, ocean view was great from top floor patio, kitchen well stocked, and beach items available!! The condo itself is in need of an update,
BUT we had no complaints!! We had an issue with the dishwasher while there and someone was sent to repair it the very next day! Communication before, during, and after our stay was probably some of the best we've ever had from a North Coast rental company
!!!! Overall, we highly recommend this condo as well as the renal company!!!

Our family has stayed at this condo development 4 or 5 times. We really enjoyed it here. It's a 2-minute walk to the beach, and not far from lego land. It easily accommodated all of us. The pricing always is competitive and fits our budget.

This is our second time in this complex at 2 different buildings. We love the location right at the beach. A nice walk to the harbor for coffee and surf watching. Also we love to visit the sea lions just north of the harbor. The property managers make checkin and out a breeze. The complex grounds make you feel like you are in a tropical place. The pool and hot tub are a nice option to the beach.
Our unit was fine (didnt mind at all that it was a bit outdated). It had everything we needed. I forgot to ask about boogie boards and beach toys so we actually bought some at the surf shop. Not sure if that was advertised as included in the rental unit.
We had a maintenance issue come up. With the ease of a text message it was resolved the same day.
We can’t wait to come back.

We love the location and many of the amenities of the North Coast Village. This particular unit had many things to like about it, the twin and king size beds were comfortable, the kitchen and the tvs all worked well. Overall we were happy with out stay.

Some things need to be updated however. The temperature in the showers is impossible to regulate. It would be scorching hot and then cold and then hot again. The pull out bed mattress is extremely old and in rough condition. It was very uncomfortable. The room came with boogie boards, but they were either broken or the really cheap kind that don't work well. We ended up using our friends who had better ones supplied with their room.

Although, those things were frustrating, we were still happy with the room and our stay.

In regards to my rental for room G #306 Blue Horizons, I was quite taken back with the condition of the rental. The main thing that was disturbing was that we kept pulling out dirty dishes from the cabinets, the bathroom was dirty as well with smelly urine in the toilet brush bowl, there were noticeable cigarette burns in the rug in the living room rug, and the oven was glitching from what appeared to be a cracked screen or something. These were things we noticed upon arrival, however the longer we were there we couldn't help but feel the entire decor or rather lack of any type of updating of the place left us feeling like we rented a cabin in 1972. I didn't expect to rent a beach condo that was outdated by at least 50 years. Not exactly the dream beach stay I pictured. The owner really needs to take some time to ensure their place is clean prior to renting it out and instead of just being concerned about taking in money from rentals, try to give the renters the beach experience and vibe they are paying for.

The location was great. The surrounding grounds of the complex were breathtaking. The pictures of our unit were deceiving we thought that the downstairs bedroom had 2 full beds by the angle of the pictures when it only had 2 twins. The upstairs balcony was our favorite gathering place besides the beach. It was not disclosed that there was no air conditioning in the unit which could definitely be a cause for concern later in the summer. The unit was quite musky when we arrived but after opening the windows and sliding glass doors and using the fans it was ok. The description said it slept 6 but with only 2 twins and 1 king that was not the case. There was a small pull out couch upstairs that was very dated and soiled and an inflatable mattress provided that went flat and had to be inflated throughout the night. The jigsaw puzzles provided need to be thrown away and replaced none of them contained all the pieces. Overall the unit was very dated and could use some freshening up. We came in 2 groups our other group stayed in another unit in the same building and theirs was much more updated and was even less per night than ours. Overall the stay was good like I said the location was amazing close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants.

I loved the location of the condo. It was clean and ready for us. The setup was really nice with the Master bedroom upstairs. We were very comfortable. My son was a little disappointed when none of the boogie boards provided were useable. One was broken in half and one didn’t have the string attachment and the other had cracked plastic that would of scratched. I understand it’s a rental and some people don’t take care of things but you may want to look into replacing those if your going to say you have some available to use. We ended up looking around and buying one. We left it there for others to use. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would stay again.

I had to stay somewhere else while my house was being remediated. I chose North Coast Village because it was on the beach. The property is gorgeous, waterfalls, coi pond, birds of paradise, palm trees that all make you feel like you are in Hawaii. Then you walk out the gate and you are on the beach in Oceanside across the street from the Harbor. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean is amazing. I didn't want to leave. The king size bed was very comfortable, but the twins downstairs were not. The water temp in the showers kept fluctuating and the management company did finally come out but it took a few calls. I think the carpets need to be cleaned because our feet were always dirty even after just showering. The stairs going up to the master are steep and a bit challenging if you are older. (I am 57) The pool and spa are beautiful and the BBQ area very functional. The furniture is older and not as comfortable, but I also stayed probably longer than the average person would. (45 days). Overall I am in love with the property and would like to buy one of these condos.I would have stayed longer if I could.

We liked that the master bedroom was located upstairs with it’s own private bathroom and balcony. Location was great. The unit needs to be updated but we knew this prior to arriving from past guests feedback and owners feedback. Next year, will probably stay at this facility but probably at a different condo unit. This property is everything we expected. We booked this online and the only thing we knew about it was the description that we read about it. Everything from the location to amenities to great customer service was perfect. After travelling all day, we were greeted by the Patrol Office who had our keys and all information we needed to begin our stay. The individual who checked us in (sorry I don't remember her name) was very helpful and answered all of our questions and was happy to suggest places to eat. The owners (Miguel and Adriana) kept us informed before our trip and made the check in process very easy. We had one little issue (which was our fault) and one quick call to Adriana and the issue was taken care of immediately. We traveled to So. CA to visit family and this location was very close to where our family lives and it is also an easy drive to San Diego International Airport.

We definitely would recommend this property to anyone and will keep this place in mind the next time we travel to this area. The entire North Coast Village is a beautiful well kept facility. We ate at Joe's Crab Shack which is very close, went to Oceanside Farmers Market and the Sunset Market. Jolly Rogers is very close, however, we ran out of time and did not get to eat there, but we heard it is very good. We went to San Diego and took the ferry to Coronodo Island, a must see. Went to USS Midway and it was very interesting. Of course spent time on the beach and used the BBQ area to entertain some of our family we were visiting. It is a very safe gated community, our condo had a great view.

This unit is in a very convenient location on lively, well-maintained grounds right off the beach near lots of shops and restaurants with convenient interstate access. The train can be a distraction but you stop noticing it pretty quickly. The kitchen is fairly well equipped but not much matches and it is mostly chipped and dated. The decor and furnishings are also very dated and don’t really give a great ‘I’m on beach vacation!!!’ vibe. Free WiFi is good but the TVs were disappointing. The linens, sheets, & towels are wonderful and the unit was very clean with a nice floor plan for two couples or a family. We would probably stay here again as the price does reflect the furnishings and we spent much of our time exploring the area and not much time actually in the condo. But another comfy chair in the living room and a new king size mattress in the upstairs bedroom would make a huge difference in comfort level while you are there.

*A five star review from our Airbnb guest who stayed Aug 24 -Sep 6, 2018 * The place is as advertised. We're a family of four with kids aged 4 and 6 and we really loved to stay here. There is a big pool and a big spa pool (about 100 degrees) that are open for use late in the night. We ended most days with a pool and spa session. As if that isn't enough, across the street, the complex has another pool and spa pool that we tried one night. Body boards were included and we used them every day except for when we took whole day trips to Disneyland and SeaWorld. The beach and the ocean were perfect. Lots of space and picture perfect sundowns every night. The layout of the apartment was good. The kids slept in a room on the entrance floor and we slept upstairs. We had breakfast on the rooftop balcony a few times, taking in the ocean view. We chose this location for it's proximity to both San Diego and Los Angeles and it was a good fit for us. about 2 hours to Santa Monica and about 40 minutes to downtown San Diego. Oceanside it self has all the usual amenities and there is shopping malls close by. The information binder provided covered good places to eat and shop. Having youngsters means that the internet connection needs to be a certain standard and it was. Both kids could watch independent Netflix shows at the same time without any hassle. We didn't interact all that much with the hosts, but upon arrival I called them with a question about checking in and got a quick response.

For the most part the experience was good. However, the elevator in our bldg was not working from Wed and still not operable when we left Sat morn--difficult with all luggage, etc. Also the kitchen light would flicker & I would turn it off. Was afraid that there was an electrical short

The hosts gave us plenty of details for check-in and check-out. The communication response time was quick. The unit is part of North Coast Village. The whole condo property is great. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is great, and it is super close to the beach. The unit is on the 3rd floor and from the upstairs deck there are good views of the ocean and of the harbor. The hosts were very nice and thoughtful. Our family of 6 fit well in this unit. Having the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is nice. We highly recommend and would stay here again if possible. The unit comes with beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, and pool towels, which was so convenient and nice because we didn't have to pack or buy that stuff for our trip. There is a train track that runs a block or so east of the condo property, so you can hear trains periodically. However, the train goes by a majority of the properties close to the beach in Oceanside, so you would be hard pressed to find a property that doesn't hear the train occasionally. This wasn't a problem for us. Overall, this was a great experience.

This place was great for a get away! Lots to do and places to go with easy access to expressways, trains and boats! We went up to LA and down to San Diego, out hiking in the hills and went whale watching - but found a large group of dolphin instead! The unit was the perfect size for a family of 4 - 2 teenage girls and parents!
